I got a new lens this week and was also fortunate enough to get some good weather to go testing it without having to resort to taking 900 pictures of teacups and spoons! When I bought my SLR, I got the Nikon 18-55 lens and the Tamron 70-300 macro lens. The latter hasn’t served me […]
I already have furry children as well you should know and now I have a furry niece. Although thankfully, not too furry! The missus’ brother and his missus got a dog this year. A Hungarian Vizsla to be precise. She is beautiful but also very gangly. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce Fleur… (all shots taken […]
For Christmas, I was given a year’s membership to the Cambridge Botanical Gardens. It’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go see but never got round to. Well, now I have no excuse. I’m going to go at least once a month to see all the different plants that appear through the seasons. So, here is […]
No, not Mr Park but actual parks. Well, greens and commons if you will. On Boxing Day we took a lovely walk through Cambridge to catch the last of the snow. I tried colour but it wasn’t doing too well so I went all black and white on its ass!
Here is a selection of some accumulated random photos I found on my laptop that I hadn’t yet posted. I had a good Christmas, did you? After we had opened our pressies, we prepared for brunch. I had decided weeks beforehand that come rain or shine, I would BBQ me some steaks on Christmas Day! […]
I’m very behind on my postings. New Year’s Resolution, post more. Or at least try and stay on top of anything I’ve done. I have three days posts coming up, so stay tuned. Before Christmas, while the rest of the country ground to a halt due to the snow, we had a pitiful amount. There […]
Brrrrrrrrrrrr!! It sure is cold out there! Earlier this week, I sat at my desk at 9am and Google told me it was -6. I thought that couldn’t possibly be the case so I clicked for more detail to check the local station readings. It was actually -8!!!!! Frost and snow make fun pictures. Check […]
Brrrrrrr! So, we are turning the corner into Winter, the season of frost, ice and cold! This was my view when I woke up the other morning: It’s so cold that Mr Park has gone all eskimo on us and hides in his fur lined hole for maximum heat retention!
Last Friday was bonfire night. Enjoy 🙂 The rain on my lens added some interesting effects! My camera was soaked by the end of it.
I appear to have abandoned the blog. I’ve been busy. But not too busy. This weekend I went to the Newmarket Races to see the last ever Champions Day being held there. I wasn’t feeling very lucky so rather than piss my money down the drain I opted to take photos instead. I’m mightily pleased […]
Not quite wordless. I started a new photography course. It’s on Wednesday’s. Hence no update last week. This week it was cancelled so I’m posting. It was a nice intro course. We had to spend 45 minutes going round the college taking pictures of things from “odd” angles and trying to look at things from […]
